Authorised Exporter
As an authorised exporter, a company may apply simplified export procedures, issue the export accompanying document in-house, and self-certify proofs of origin — without involving customs for every individual shipment. We guide you through the authorisation process, from the initial application to handover to ongoing operations.
Benefits at a glance
- Simplified export procedure with fewer bureaucratic steps
- In-house issuance of the export accompanying document
- Faster processing at the border thanks to the pre-granted authorisation
- Fewer direct contact points with the customs office in day-to-day business
- Self-printing of proofs of origin (e.g., EUR.1 movement certificates or origin declarations on the invoice)
Requirements
- Establishment in the European Union with a valid EORI number
- Regular exports to third countries (not purely intra-EU business)
- Reliability of the company: no serious or repeated violations of customs regulations
- A functioning internal control system that ensures correct customs processing (stock accounting, written procedural description, clear responsibilities)
How the authorisation process works
- Application to the competent main customs office — we prepare your application and all required supporting documents.
- Document review — the main customs office examines the submitted documents for completeness and plausibility.
- Audit / operational inspection — an on-site inspection is usually conducted to assess the internal control system.
- Authorisation decision — after a successful conclusion you receive the written decision. Based on experience, the entire process takes three to six months.
